THE BLACK MAMBAS (FILM)
This short film is a reduced verion of a larger documentary on the lives of the Black Mambas, ladies who patrol the Kruger National Park to fight against Rhino poachers. Here Adrian created a musical landscape that is African, yet slightly eerie in places to characterize the lurking danger at every moment for these women.
BBC JUST COOKING (TV)
A popular show about simple recipes and easy to cook meals, Adrian was asked to create the intro theme and a few stings. The specs were to be light and bouncy, while maintaining a homely feel.
LEWENSIKLUS (STAGE)
This song cycle consists of nine songs all spanning different parts of life. Each poem tackles the complexities most of us face, while still trying to allow for some human elements to also bring joy despite the challenges we face. In short, all our experiences are just a natural course of life.
IN RESURRECTION (STAGE)
In Resurrection (In Opstanding) was originally a solo piece for Mezzo and piano commissioned by Zanne Stapelberg. Zanne also asked the poet, Christine Hugo, to write a poem specific for this. The peom speaks of resurrection of the past and skeletons in one's closet and is a complex poem with twists and turns.
JAGUAR (TV)
Adrian was asked to write the music for the new release of a Jaguar. The add campaign was eventually scrapped, but the music remains.
COMFORT OF MEN (TV)
Comfort of men is a short documentary about the artworks featuring men.
